Led a youth-led NGO of 15 students, focused on media creation and dissemination to address the challenges facing marine ecosystems.
APMEA (Asia Pacific Marine Ecosystem and Energy Alliance)
I founded APMEA, the Asia Pacific Marine Ecosystem and Energy Alliance, a youth-led NGO dedicated to media creation and dissemination with a specific focus on marine systems and global warming in the Asia Pacific region. Founded in December 2023 by a group of passionate high school students, APMEA has rapidly grown to include members from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. Through various multimedia platforms, we produce content that highlights the challenges facing our oceans, such as pollution, habitat destruction, and the effects of climate change. Our goal is to inform, educate, and empower individuals to take meaningful action to protect marine ecosystems.
The members of APMEA are united by a shared commitment to Energy Crisis and environmental advocacy. Our core team is based in the Asia Pacific region, but we welcome participants from around the world who share our vision and values. By leveraging our diverse backgrounds and perspectives, we strive to address marine conservation challenges on both a regional and global scale. Our activities include researching and writing articles, creating multimedia content, organizing events and workshops, and collaborating with other like-minded organizations.
APMEA emerged from a collective concern for the deteriorating health of our marine ecosystems amidst the pressing issue of global warming. Recognizing the urgent need to raise awareness about the impacts of climate change on our oceans, we advocate for sustainable solutions through media advocacy. Our efforts aim to inspire action and foster a community of proactive individuals dedicated to preserving our precious marine environments. As we continue to expand our reach and impact, we remain committed to developing creative solutions to the environmental challenges facing our world today.
